How To Install Harbor Breeze Flush-Mount Ceiling Fans? 

Now, let’s talk about the installation process of flush mount ceiling fans. It’s a bit different from installing a fan using a downrod but not too difficult. Nothing to worry about, the process is easier if you have some electrical knowledge. You must know the wire colors and their purpose before starting work yourself. If you don’t know the wire color codes then you should read my guide on Wiring Diagrams, there you will get all the necessary knowledge related to the ceiling fan wirings. I’m going to provide an easy stepwise guide on installing a flush mount ceiling fan, follow the instructions, and get your fan installed easily. 

Instructions:

• Turn off the power and remove the existing fan if installed.
• But if you’re installing for the first time, then simply start by unboxing the new ceiling fan and make sure all parts were included when the fan was packed by comparing the parts to the instruction sheet.
• Read the instruction manual carefully, especially the installation method.
• Install the mounting bracket for the new fan to the electrical box where the old fixture was connected. 
• Make sure that the base is leveled where you’re about to attach the mounting bracket, you can use spacers if needed to level. 
• After mounting, pull down the base to ensure it can support the weight of the fan when it’s running.
• Connect the mounting bracket to the fan motor. Since this is a flush mount, you won’t need the hanging downrod.
• Hang the fan motor on the base using the provided hook. Connect the wires from the fan motor to the wires in the electrical box. 
• You may need to shorten the wires from the fan motor, but don’t them thoroughly, be sure to leave about six inches of extra wire to allow for easy handling.
• Connect the black wire from the fan motor and the blue wire for the lights together with the black wire from the electrical box. 
• Use the provided wiring nuts to securely connect and insulate this connection. 
• Next, connect the white wire from the fan to the white wire from the box using a separate wire nut. 
• Attach the green ground wire (either it’ll be bare or green insulated) from the fan to the ground wire in the box.

• Securely attach the fan blades to the fan motor using the supplied screws.
• Install the light kit after attaching and tightening the fan blades.
